自動車趣味人展 in G.base 2025.7.11-7.21

The "Automobile Enthusiast Exhibition in G.base" was held at G.base from July 11th to 21st, 2024.
The highlight of this event was an exhibition of original drawings by illustrator Kia Asamiya, who has worked on the cover illustrations for the quarterly magazine Jidosha Shujin . The venue was filled with excitement as all of the works that graced the covers were brought together.

A total of 18 original cover illustrations are on display

The exhibition space at G.base will display 18 original cover illustrations by Asamiya of car enthusiasts, focusing on domestic and imported cars.
Also on display were illustrations from "Her Carrera."

Furthermore, a new design of Keiichi Tsuchiya's AE86 Street Edition was created especially for this exhibition. This new design was also used on the sign outside the venue, creating a strong presence as a new icon for G.base.

All of the works were displayed framed or on canvas, allowing visitors to enjoy the different textures and feel of each piece.

[7/13] Kia Asamiya x Masahiko Akira Special Talk Show

On the first Sunday of the exhibition, July 13th, a talk show will be held by Akira Masahiko and Asamiya Kia.
Visitors were fascinated by a wide range of topics, including cars, trains, anime, and the behind-the-scenes of creative work. A cross-talk that transcended genre boundaries unfolded.

The Asamiya world of light and air

This is just my personal opinion, but Asamiya's work has an amazing depiction of light. It looks just like a photograph, but I felt a depth as art that is completely different from a photograph.
──To be honest, the illustrations were all incredibly cool.

All original artwork is available for purchase. We offer high-quality reproductions of the original artwork.

All of the works on display were available for purchase, and many visitors who found their favorites completed the purchase process on the spot and left the venue with smiles on their faces.

The items for sale were high-quality reproductions of the original artwork.

▶What is a reproduction of an original artwork?

This reproduction of the original artwork was created by Kia Asamiya, who first drew the line drawings on paper, then scanned the originals into a computer and digitally colored them using Photoshop instead of paint.

It's almost the same as the traditional process of drawing on paper, with the only difference being that the finished product is saved as data.

The reproductions are printed on high-quality paper using a high-resolution printer with 10-color ink, and are autographed by Kia Asamiya and come with a certificate of authenticity issued by him, making them a must-have for collectors.

Your order will be delivered to your home approximately one month after ordering.

[7/21] Kia Asamiya x Keiichi Tsuchiya Special Talk Show & Autograph Session

On the final day of the exhibition, a special talk show and autograph session will be held with Kia Asamiya and G.base founder Keiichi Tsuchiya.

Many fans flocked to the event from the morning, and about 80 people participated in the talk show.
In fact, Asamiya himself has been a fan of Tsuchiya since the days of Best Motoring VHS. The talk, filled with such passion, ranged from behind-the-scenes stories to personal exchanges, and was a huge success, filled with surprises and laughter.
The autograph session that followed was also a lively conclusion, with attendees interacting with the artist and bringing their own works and merchandise.
